What are your weekly fees?+

Our weekly fees are from £1,450 to £1,675. The final fee depends on the person’s individual needs, level of support, length of stay and room type.

Is Cornelius House privately funded?+

Cornelius House is mainly a privately funded care home. We may be able to consider local authority-funded placements where a suitable third-party top-up is in place. Please contact us so we can talk through the circumstances clearly.

Do you accept local authority-funded placements?+

We do not usually accept local authority-funded placements unless a suitable top-up arrangement is in place. This depends on the person’s needs, the room available and the agreed funding position.

What can affect the weekly fee?+

The weekly fee can vary depending on individual care needs, the level of support required, the length of stay and the room selected. Some rooms are larger and some include full wet rooms, which can affect the weekly cost.

What is included in the weekly fee?+

All day-to-day care and support is included in the weekly fee. This includes accommodation, meals and drinks, personal care, daily support, laundry, use of shared spaces, and activities within the home.

Are there any additional costs?+

Additional costs are limited to optional extras or external services, such as hairdressing, chiropody, and certain outings or events, for example theatre tickets. These would be discussed clearly.

Can fees change during a stay?+

Fees may be reviewed if a resident’s needs change significantly or if their support requirements increase. Any changes would be discussed clearly with the resident or their representative.

How is a room reserved?+

Room reservation depends on availability and the individual circumstances. Please contact us directly so we can explain the current process clearly.
