Common questions

Helpful to know.

What type of care does Cornelius House provide?+
Cornelius House provides residential care, dementia care and respite care in a warm, homely setting in Chichester. We support people who need help with daily living, personal care, routines, medication, wellbeing and companionship, while helping life feel as familiar and meaningful as possible.
How many residents live at Cornelius House?+
Cornelius House is a small, 20-bed care home. This means residents can be known properly by the team, routines can feel more personal, and small changes in wellbeing are more likely to be noticed quickly.
What makes Cornelius House different from a larger care home?+
Our size is one of our strengths. As a smaller home, Cornelius House offers a calmer, more personal environment where residents are known by name, routine, personality and preference. Families often value the familiar faces, attentive support and genuine relationships that can develop in a smaller setting.
Can we visit before making a decision?+
Yes. We always encourage families to visit, walk through the home, meet the team and ask questions. Choosing care is a personal decision, and a visit is often the best way to understand whether Cornelius House feels right.
What are your weekly fees?+
Our weekly fees are from £1,450 to £1,675. The final fee depends on individual needs, level of support, length of stay and room type. Some rooms are larger and some include full wet rooms, which can affect the weekly cost.
Is Cornelius House privately funded?+
Cornelius House is mainly a privately funded care home. We may be able to consider local authority-funded placements where a suitable third-party top-up is in place. Please contact us so we can talk through the circumstances clearly.
